6 Model basements from Figura Design

Gives layout details and costs for 6 different basements under a single house design. It includes elevations of the house, the assumptions appyling to the costings and plans to a 1:100 scale.

The 6 designs are:

- Basement garage
- Gymnasium with utilities
- Games room with utilities and sunken courtyard garden
- Bedroom/bedsit with featured spiral staircase up to a conservatory
- Office with utilities
- An external top lit basement under the garden to the house

The designs cover full area and part area basements, and where both fully and partly below ground.

The costings were based on the data given in Basment 1 but updated to 2001 and extened to include for qualified fit out as shown.

The publication also comments on the history of basements, planning restrictions and other issues.
